If you live in Palm Beach County, you're now under Florida's flooding state of emergency. Gov. Ron DeSantis amended Executive Order 26-227 on Wednesday to add Glades, Hendry, Lake, Okeechobee, Palm Beach, Seminole and Volusia counties. NewsRadio WIOD says Riviera Beach and Port St. Lucie have some of the worst neighborhood flooding in the state.

The emergency now covers 14 counties

The declaration lets the state activate the Florida National Guard and Florida State Guard as needed. It also lets the Florida Department of Transportation close roads and allows tolls to be waived for emergency help or evacuations. WPTV reports the county's Emergency Operations Center is at Level 2, a partial activation.

Over 22 inchesof rain fell on parts of West Palm Beach, Commissioner Gregg Weiss said

Weiss called it the kind of extreme event some characterize as a "one-in-1,000-type" storm.
