John Snyder filed the State Park Preservation Act to protect Florida state parks from developments like hotels, golf courses and other amenities—requiring public hearings on land-use plans and a fiscal report on park repairs, with committee hearings planned in the next six weeks. - ➤ Florida lawmakers are considering SB 1318—which would ban holding mobile devices while driving except for short actions to activate features—for use during movement; hands-free use is allowed and violators would face fines and license points.
