  • Palm Beach County Fire Rescue reminded residents that holiday celebrations require extra caution to avoid fire risks from unattended cooking, candles (kept on safe surfaces), and drying trees, and urged checking smoke alarms and planning safe escapes as families prepare for festive gatherings.  CBS12 News
  • Furry Friends Humane Rescue in Jupiter surprised animals with toys and pup cups at an early Christmas celebration on Tuesday. Programs director Gabriella Gluck said the rescue helps animals from local shelters find cozy foster or forever homes (a move aimed at easing shelter overcrowding) during the holiday season.  WPBF

  • BOPIS is a service from Nordstrom, Target and Walmart that lets last-minute shoppers order online and pick up gifts in-store to avoid shipping delays.
