GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Florida will enforce three new laws starting Jan. 1 that give state employees no-cost supplemental breast exam coverage, formally regulate pet insurance and require health providers to refund patient overpayments promptly. Multiple laws already in effect also have key deadlines or provisions taking effect at the start of next year.  Palm Beach Daily News
  • Arden residents will file a formal appeal against the Project Tango data center soon; the appeal will freeze the approval process for 30 days. Neighbors from Wellington, Loxahatchee, and Royal Palm Beach also voice concerns — prompting regional pushback.  WPTV
  • NASA will launch Artemis 2 in early 2026 from Kennedy (a key site on the Space Coast) carrying four astronauts around the moon while SpaceX debuts its new Starship V3 and Boeing schedules an uncrewed Starliner test flight, with additional robotic lunar landings planned by American companies.  Palm Beach Daily News

  • Pap Corps has supported cancer research at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center for 73 years, raising over $110 million for projects that fight all forms of cancer. The nonprofit holds an annual end-of-year campaign to fund research, prevention, and survivorship for men, women and children.  WPBF
