COMMUNITY NEWS

  • The ULA Atlas V rocket is set to launch from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station tomorrow from a window starting at 3:49 a.m. ET, carrying Amazon Leo satellites to orbit. The rocket may be visible across Florida (and even up to New York) depending on weather conditions.  Palm Beach Daily News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The School District of Palm Beach County scheduled 33 graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2026 from May 5 to May 21, mainly at the South Florida Fairgrounds and on school campuses. Jupiter Community High holds its ceremony on May 19 at 8 a.m.  WPBF

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Citizens Board of Governors approved a proposal to lower personal residential rates by an average of 2.6% beginning June 1; actual changes vary by policy type (multi-peril policies would drop 4.1%) while commercial rates could rise by 10.4%.  WPBF
