  • Project Thanksgiving celebrated its 35th year today as the community and partners like United Way and the Palm Beach County Food Bank packed over 4,000 meals and raised more than $30,000 in donations—helping thousands of families secure a Thanksgiving meal.  CBS12 News
  • Food banks in Palm Beach County have seen record demand from rising food prices, SNAP cuts, and a government shutdown that drove many residents to seek help ahead of the holidays—pantries like CROS Ministries reported being overwhelmed by new faces and reduced federal funding. Local organizations say that working parents, seniors, and others are struggling to afford meals and a Thanksgiving dinner because of high living costs.  The Palm Beach Post

  • Larry Ellison, Oracle cofounder, purchased Lion Country Safari for $30 million this month. The 254-acre drive-through park in Palm Beach County (opened in 1967 and home to 89 species) is now under his ownership as he supports wildlife conservation.  Palm Beach Daily News
  • All Publix locations are closed today for Thanksgiving—one of only three holidays when the chain shuts its doors to let its employees spend time with family.
