Good morning, Jupiter.

Florida stores will open on Thanksgiving with limited hours while many, such as Publix, Walmart, Aldi, Costco, BJ’s, Sam’s Club, Trader Joe's, and Winn-Dixie, will be closed.

Bravo Supermarkets, The Fresh Market, Sprouts, and most Whole Foods will run on reduced schedules — with hours set from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. — and some CVS and 24-hour Walgreens will serve shoppers with modified hours.

A new PBS documentary titled 'Corpsman!

Pearl Harbor' preserves the firsthand account of Harry Chandler — a local Pearl Harbor veteran who served as a Navy Corpsman during the 1941 attack and passed away in January at 103 — with narration by Jim Nantz. The film airs nationwide and keeps his eyewitness testimony alive for future generations.

Florida Power & Light customers will see higher electric bills starting January 1, 2026 after the state Public Service Commission approved a $7 billion rate hike—this change reduces the original nearly $10 billion request by almost 40% amid public concerns.

Average bills will rise about $2.50 per month next year while FPL invests in infrastructure and growth.

Tampa General Hospital has opened Palm Beach County's first comprehensive kidney stone clinic to provide local patients with faster, coordinated care.

The clinic links three TGH practices and offers a team of urologists, nephrologists and dietitians with sites in Jupiter, West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Delray Beach and Lake Worth — expanding care access in the region.

Rising online orders this holiday season mean Jupiter residents should secure packages by using options like Amazon Lockers or UPS Access Points—advice from the U.S. Postal Service that also recommends video doorbells, tracking alerts, and credit card purchase protection.
