  • Palm Beach County tourism reached a record high in the 2024-2025 fiscal year as Discover the Palm Beaches reported 10.6 million visitors and $11.3 billion in economic impact—making it second statewide with $1.32 billion in hotel revenue from a 6% bed tax.   • A meeting on Nov. 6 of Palm Beach County's airport noise committee let local officials and residents express concern over new 24/7 flight restrictions over Mar-a-Lago that force planes over quiet neighborhoods until at least Oct. 20, 2026—officials said federal representatives did not attend due to the government shutdown. The restrictions have already lowered airport operations and altered runway use at Palm Beach International Airport.  Palm Beach Daily News
