- ➤ Shawna Camilleri started Shawna's Basket Brigade in 2016 to fill baskets with holiday items for veterans and community members in need by partnering with Palm Beach County Services and the Boca PD for verified recipients. The program provided about 700 baskets last year—each feeding 4 to 5 people—and now uses several drop-off locations from Boca to Jupiter to support local families. WPBF

- ➤ Jupiter will hold a Veterans Day ceremony on November 11 at 9 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial in front of Town Hall—where WPTV morning anchor Ashley Glass will emcee the event and livestream it on Facebook. WPTV
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The PEACE justice ministry urged Palm Beach County officials to add three more mental health teams during an Oct. 27 assembly in Lake Worth Beach—raising the number from two to five to help adults with severe mental illness. Local and state leaders pledged their support and will join PEACE in Tallahassee later in November for the legislative session. The Palm Beach Post

- ➤ Jupiter residents can enjoy a range of weekend events with the 24th annual Galbani Feast of Little Italy at Abacoa Town Center offering Italian food and rides today while the 23rd annual Juno Beach Craft Festival along A1A in Juno Beach gives free admission and parking. Extra events like the Stuart Air Show, the Kravis Center Block Party, and the CityPlace Holiday Kickoff in West Palm Beach offer more family-friendly fun — all continuing into Sunday. WPBF
