CULTURE NEWS

  • October's supermoon will peak on Oct. 6 and stay full from Oct. 5 through Oct. 7, making it the first of three supermoons this year. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The Florida Department of Health issued an alert on Friday after water samples taken on Wednesday showed blue-green algae near Canal Point, the Pahokee Marina, and near Ritta Island — areas around Lake Okeechobee in Palm Beach County. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Palm Beach and 22 cities plus two counties filed a lawsuit on Sept. 29 in Florida’s Second Judicial Circuit against Senate Bill 180 (SB180) that limits local zoning authority.
