- ➤ At Palm Beach Zoo, a Hoffman’s two-toed sloth teaches golden lion tamarins to relax in a new habitat—featuring a thick canopy that mimics a South American forest—and zoo officials said the exhibit, which opened over Labor Day weekend, encourages natural interactions and conservation. CBS12 News
- ➤ Tropical Depression Nine is expected to strengthen into tropical storm Imelda tonight and remain offshore Florida, though tropical downpours and gusty winds could lead to localized flooding. Coastal waters are under tropical storm watches (with wind speeds of 39 to 50 mph) and conditions should improve Monday as the system moves away. WPBF
- ➤ A storm near the Bahamas will develop into Tropical Storm Imelda tonight and track close offshore while a tropical storm watch is in effect from the Palm Beach/Martin County line to the Flagler/Volusia County line & dangerous beach and boating conditions are expected in Florida, with heavy rain and flooding forecast for coastal Georgia and the Carolinas next week.
