- ➤ Jupiter will host the Ninth Annual Pumpkin Fest on October 11 at Harborside Place with a pumpkin patch, haunted house, live music, food and trick-or-treating for over 50 vendors. - ➤ Hurricane Gabrielle rapidly intensified into a Category 4 storm with 140 mph winds and passed Bermuda Monday night as it moved into the open Atlantic—life-threatening surf has led the National Weather Service to issue a rip current statement for Florida’s east coast down to West Palm Beach until Thursday. - ➤ The National Hurricane Center said Hurricane Gabrielle, a powerful storm with 140 mph winds, is expected to weaken and move away from Florida while causing big waves and strong rip currents along the East Coast — one or two tropical depressions may also form soon in the Atlantic.
