- ➤ Residents in the Sandy Run neighborhood approved speed hump construction after a mandatory petition gathered over 60% support from locals. Mike Trim of WPTV said the project began after a study found more than 2,000 vehicles pass daily—addressing growing speeding concerns. WPTV
- ➤ WPBF 25 to the Rescue partners with local animal shelters to help find forever homes for pets including Cannoli—a five-year-old dog rescued in March who is now available for adoption with fees waived and added perks. A whiskey and food pairing event at the Chef’s Table is scheduled for later this month to benefit the shelters as ticket sales close in two weeks. WPBF

- ➤ A local doctor at Baptist Health South Florida said that during Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month routine exams can help find early signs such as unusual bleeding, discharge, or abdominal swelling (symptoms of cervical, uterine, and ovarian cancers), urging women to schedule screenings regularly.
