  • Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach is offering hands-on hatchling discovery tours every Saturday and Sunday in September from 7 to 9 a.m.—an opportunity for visitors to learn about sea turtle conservation as the nesting season continues until October 31. The center also recently held a successful hatchling release program that drew hundreds of participants during August.  CBS12 News
  • Labor Day marked the start of meteorological fall on September 1—forecast by the Climate Prediction Center to bring above-average temperatures in south Florida through November with average highs of 89 in September, 85 in October, and 80 in November. Meteorological winter will begin on December 1.  WPBF
