  • Avelo Airlines is offering one-way nonstop flights for $57 from Palm Beach to Concord starting Oct 23 and to Wilmington beginning Nov 20—passengers must pay extra for carry-on, checked luggage, seat selection, or non-online bookings. The Houston-based carrier signed a deal with ICE for deportation flights and lost nearly $37 million between July 2024 and March 2025—local groups, including Palm Beach Indivisibles, are protesting its operations.  The Palm Beach Post

  • Luther Maurival, 24, was arrested in Wellington after police responded to reports of gunfire at a home on July 17 at 8:51 a.m.—investigators allege he planned the shooting with his brother and an accomplice amid a relationship dispute.  CBS12 News

  • Miss Florida USA Lou Schieffelin from Palm Beach County attended a national PAL summit in Washington with more than 300 teens and mentors and will represent Florida at the Miss USA competition this fall.
