- ➤ Hurricane Erin is expected to grow as it moves northwest off Florida—its center will remain offshore while dangerous rip currents and high waves, reaching up to 14 feet, are forecast for Florida beaches from August 19 to 21. Palm Beach Daily News
- ➤ Local marine researchers from Palm Beach Zoo and Jupiter Dive Center conducted a dive today—recording 24 coral species and noting healthier reefs in Palm Beach and Martin Counties compared to past seasons. They will continue monitoring the reefs through October as warmer, shallower waters challenge conditions in southern areas. CBS12 News
