Good morning, Jupiter.
High Noon has recalled its Beach Variety 12-packs sold in Florida because some cans were mislabeled as non-alcoholic Celsius energy drinks, which could lead to unintentional alcohol intake—consumers with affected products should contact the company for refund instructions.
The recalled packs were shipped between July 21 and July 23 to stores in Florida and other states.
Florida begins its annual Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday today, exempting sales tax on clothes, shoes and accessories up to $100, selected school supplies up to $50, and computers up to $1500 through the end of the month.
The state also permanently exempts tax on disaster preparedness items such as batteries and tarps under a new law signed by Governor DeSantis in June.
Florida began a permanent sales-tax holiday on disaster supplies so local shoppers in Jupiter can buy batteries, generators, and sunscreen—and more without paying tax year-round.
The exemption covers both large and everyday items to help residents prepare for hurricane season.
