Good morning, Jupiter.

Team Sports Ministries is hosting a mentoring event for young athletes as they prepare for the fall season and former athletes Gerald Hearns and Bob Puyol credit the program with shaping their leadership—Pastor Scott said a golf tournament on June 28 at Abacoa Golf Club will raise funds for mentoring programs in local high schools.

Reports show that a toddler drowned in a Hobe Sound pool on June 13 and a 5-year-old boy drowned in a Stuart pool on June 14 — followed by the ocean rescue of a 15-year-old in Jupiter on June 15 — which have prompted officials to urge parents to watch their children closely around water.

Four candidates answered public questions Monday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in Downtown West Palm Beach and will be interviewed today before commissioners vote on the next County Administrator—this role directs the county's spending and projects.
