- ➤ Authorities say that Yuraimi Castellon (51), a home health aide, is accused of stealing nearly $18k from an elderly couple's bank account by making 15 unauthorized ATM withdrawals when off duty, and she was arrested Monday. CBS12 News

- ➤ The Palm Beach County Commission renamed the Daniel T.K. Hurley Courthouse law library after Judge Edward Rodgers—Palm Beach County’s first Black prosecutor and judge whose work helped break down segregation—and held an unveiling ceremony on May 29 to honor his legacy. The Palm Beach Post
- ➤ The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission reversed a 2021 ban on capturing and selling invasive green iguanas on May 21, allowing residents to collect these lizards for sale or as pets. Residents may also humanely kill iguanas on private property with landowner permission or on 32 designated public lands in south Florida—each kill must follow FWC guidelines for an immediate loss of consciousness and brain destruction.
