  • Margie Conlin, a 92-year-old local, sews stuffed dogs for children in the hospital through the Chasin a Dream Foundation — she has made over 300 dogs and plans to continue her work to bring comfort to young patients facing life-threatening illnesses.  CBS12 News
  • Local mom Sharonda reunited siblings Kash, King, and Lauryn after they were separated in foster care for eight years by adopting them in a heartfelt ceremony – she reached out after seeing their story and wanted to keep the children together as a forever family.  CBS12 News

CRIME NEWS

  • On May 18th, a Jupiter dog owner said his miniature Bernadoodle and he were attacked by a loose pit bull in the Egret Landing community off I-95 near Leslie Street—neighbors used a hose to stop the dog and the local homeowners association has banned it from the area. The incident left both owner and dog injured and has raised concerns about neighborhood safety.  CBS12 News

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Hurricane season began June 1 and residents are urged to stock up on water, shelf-stable foods and batteries + check that their generators and evacuation plans are ready. Local officials also advised island workers and residents to join the official re-entry list since police will restrict access during and after storms.  Palm Beach Daily News
