  • The Palm Beach County Food Bank launches its Feed the Need campaign today to serve about 5,000 daily meals and food backpacks until early August. It will support children and families missing school meals while CBS12 and community partners aim to raise $5,000.  CBS12 News

  • Today, Very Local streams Weathering the Storm: Surviving Hurricane Ian, a documentary featuring firsthand accounts from residents, meteorologists and emergency responders that shows how Hurricane Ian forced families to confront tough choices in Southwest Florida+ marking a historic moment for the community.  WPBF

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Google DeepMind is boosting hurricane forecasts by learning from past storms so meteorologists at the National Hurricane Center can give local residents more lead time.
