Here's your local news at a glance for Sunday, the 31st of May.
Good morning, Jupiter.
🌲 Environment
Hurricane Season starts tomorrow — forecasts show hot, humid conditions with scattered showers and occasional thunderstorms along local coastal areas.
Residents are advised to stay tuned for updates as tropical moisture continues to influence the weather.
A rare blue moon that is also a micromoon will peak at 4:45 a.m. ET today, but rain and clouds may block its view for local stargazers (forecast shows heavier rain in parts of Florida).
🏛️ Government
With hurricane season starting in June, Palm Beach officials urge residents to prepare evacuation plans for families and pets in case a storm intensifies.
NOAA forecasts a quieter season, but officials warn that rapid weather changes can bring heavy winds, rain, and flooding (especially for barrier islands).
