- ➤ Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a law that lets school districts opt out of later start times if they submit reports to the state explaining why they cannot delay school schedules. Palm Beach County has not yet announced if it will file an exemption, and the law was passed in 2023 to help middle and high school students get more sleep. WPBF

- ➤ Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a law — protecting Florida’s 175 state parks from development like golf courses and hotels — after public outcry; officials will soon work to enforce the rules to keep our natural spaces safe. Palm Beach Daily News
