  • Lion Country Safari's cub sisters Adari and Zarina turned one on Tuesday at the Palm Beach County drive-through park ahead of Earth Day. Their celebration featured special enrichment and treats that reflect the park's focus on conservation + education.  CBS12 News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Jupiter High students launched a petition for higher teacher pay that has gained over 1,000+ signatures as teachers finished contract negotiations and the school district plans a vote on a new raise proposal on May 6. Students intend to attend the meeting in support of their educators.  WPBF

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The Audubon Everglades works daily to protect Florida Scrub Jays by hosting birding & trivia events and calling local officials for support. The group is focused on preserving the birds’ natural home at Jonathan Dickinson State Park as development continues to shrink their scrub habitat.  WPBF

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • A developer dropped the Costco-anchored Ag Reserve plan and now proposes 259 housing units on 32 acres (25% reserved for worker housing). A review hearing is set for Apr. 29.  The Palm Beach Post
