  • On Sunday, a one-year-old was found unconscious in a backyard pool in Jupiter and police administered CPR until Fire Rescue arrived—allowing the toddler to regain consciousness before being taken to a hospital.  610 WIOD

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Jayden Rodney, a senior at Palm Beach Lakes Community High School, will perform Romeo’s monologue and sonnet at the National Shakespeare Competition at The Juilliard School in New York City from April 26 to 28. Voters can support him by entering his contestant number (NSC27) on the English Speaking Union website until April 24.  CBS12 News
  • Today, the Palm Beach School Board will vote on removing DEI policies after Superintendent Michael Burke signed a compliance form to meet a federal mandate that warned noncompliance could cut $300 million in funding. Board members must formally approve changes that remove references to affirmative action in hiring and racial balance in student assignments—steps required by federal orders.  610 WIOD
