- ➤ Off-duty Sergeant Raymond Karkowski of Tequesta PD was arrested for DUI & illegal U-turn after driving erratically in Jupiter on Tuesday night near an Exxon station on Indiantown Road, with officers noting his strong smell of alcohol, slurred speech, and the presence of two cans of Miller Lite in his vehicle. - ➤ An off-duty Tequesta police sergeant was arrested for DUI in Jupiter after erratic driving on Indiantown Road Tuesday night—Raymond P. Korkowski admitted to drinking, failed sobriety tests, was booked into Palm Beach County Jail and must face a court date on May 21. WPBF

- ➤ The 30th Annual Palm Beaches Student Showcase of Films Awards Show will be held Friday, April 25 at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre in Jupiter. Organizers say the event will feature a red carpet rollout at 9:30 a.m. and a live show at 10:30 a.m., and it is expected to draw nearly 700 attendees. WPBF

- ➤ The Lyrid meteor shower will peak April 21-22 with fast, bright meteors and occasional fireballs while activity runs from April 17-30—Jupiter residents should head to dark spots before dawn to watch the show.
