Good morning, Jupiter. Here's your local news at a glance for Saturday, the 12th of April.
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Green iguanas are an invasive species in Florida and can be humanely killed on private property with the landowner's permission or on designated FWC-managed public lands without a hunting license—residents should follow local disposal rules to avoid fines. It is legal to eat iguanas, but improper carcass disposal may lead to penalties. Palm Beach Daily News
FINANCE NEWS
- ➤ The Internal Revenue Service has notified nearly 70,000 Florida taxpayers that they may be owed a median refund of $732 from unclaimed 2021 tax returns — totaling about $61 million statewide.
