- ➤ A contract dispute between Comcast and Scripps caused local TV stations to be blacked-out for Xfinity customers on March 31, cutting programming that included a Florida Panthers game, and Scripps remains ready to negotiate to restore service while Comcast avoids passing extra costs for niche sports to its customers. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Colorado State University forecasted a somewhat below-average Atlantic hurricane season due to El Nino, predicting thirteen named storms, six hurricanes, and two major storms. The season will run from June 1 through November 30 and its developments may affect local weather in Jupiter. 610 WIOD
- ➤ Colorado State University predicts 13 storms for the 2026 hurricane season and warns Florida faces a 74% chance of impact from a named storm; residents should prepare as hurricane preparedness week starts early May (it only takes one storm to cause impact) (El Niño may delay storm growth).
