- ➤ The 18th Annual 'My Teacher, My Hero' awards gala will be held on May 3 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center to honor local teachers and raise funds for a scholarship program at Inlet Grove Community High School — Daymond John from Shark Tank will serve as the keynote speaker and Angela Rozier will host the event. - ➤ Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach will host a summer camp where children learn about turtle science and ocean conservation—scholarship applications are open until April 27. Camp activities will include snorkeling trips and field trips to study marine life. WPTV

- ➤ Martin County Sheriff's Office and FWC rescued a leatherback turtle that had trouble with heavy boat traffic in the Jupiter Intracoastal Waterway—officials said the rescue helped the turtle reach open water. The team showed its care for endangered marine life. WPBF
