CRIME NEWS

  • Kathleen Barnes, a 47-year-old Jupiter woman, was arrested on Wednesday after allegedly swapping old blow-driers for new ones at a Palm Beach Gardens Ulta on December 29 and giving her own phone number at checkout—police reported she stole over $1,000 in products while having a history of similar shoplifting stunts.  CBS12 News

  • Best-selling author Victoria Christopher Murray—renowned for her historical fiction—will discuss her work and latest novel at the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County's Love of Literacy Luncheon at 11 a.m. on April 10 at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach.
