- ➤ Jupiter resident John Denney worked as a surfer, ski instructor and paddleboard teacher—teaching top athletes like LPGA star Lexi Thompson—and became the minister of Unity of Jupiter where his 100 members meet Sundays at noon. The Palm Beach Post
- ➤ Riko’s Pizza in Tequesta is hosting a fundraiser today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.—with 20% of the proceeds going to help the family of 12-year-old Rico Roundtree—who died last month in an e-bike crash in Jupiter. WPTV

- ➤ Dune Dog Cafe is delaying the opening of its new beach shack at Carlin Park because unforeseen repairs are needed at the old Duke's Lazy Loggerhead Cafe building, and it is now set to open between late July and Thanksgiving with a likely start by August or September. The small restaurant will serve breakfast and lunch before closing at sunset and will have a Key West look aimed at local guests. The Palm Beach Post

- ➤ Palm Beach County's February unemployment rate was 3.7% & matched the statewide figure, which is 0.6% higher than last February. Julia Dattolo of CareerSource said education & healthcare added over 5000 jobs as those industries grew by 4.3% over the year. WPBF
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Florida Department of Transportation announced that the U.S. 1 Bridge in Jupiter will close starting the night of April 11 for crews to remove temporary barriers and test the bridge, with it scheduled to reopen the morning of April 14 in its final configuration (two travel lanes, a bike lane and sidewalks in each direction). Drivers are advised to use detours (via U.S. Highway 1, Indiantown Road and Alternate A1A) while boat traffic remains unaffected. WPBF
