- ➤ A Jupiter Middle School student, Rico Roundtree, died in an e-bike crash on Thursday—and a balloon release memorial is scheduled at 4 p.m. today at Abacoa Community Park—to honor his memory while a community forum on e-bike safety is planned and police expect no criminal charges. - ➤ Wildlife officials say residents should check attics, barns, and sheds for bats because after April 15 it will be illegal to remove them during mating season using exclusion devices — owners must use approved methods now to avoid fines.
