Here's your local news at a glance for Tuesday, the 6th of January.
Good morning, Jupiter.
🎭 Culture
Tony Monaco, frontman of local tribute band Turnstiles, said he could hardly believe it when Billy Joel joined the show on Friday at Wellington’s 30th anniversary celebration.
He performed hits (including 'Big Shot' and 'We Didn’t Start the Fire') in what marked a memorable return to the stage.
🌲 Environment
Florida recorded 628 manatee deaths in 2025 with Brevard County registering 118 fatalities.
Watercraft collisions and natural causes (cold stress and perinatal losses) led to the high toll, and officials urge boaters to slow down to protect these gentle creatures.
